The Long Shadow

By October 15, 2020No Comments

Mona Roy has asked that we share this important information with you. The Lexington Human Rights Committee would like to request that we watch The Long Shadow. This movie is sponsored by the Town of Lexington, Human Rights Committee (LHRC) and is an important step for all of us to understand our nation’s history of institutional racism.  No matter what our heritage or when our family came to this country to recognize much of the inequities baked into America.  It’s hard to heal when we don’t even know how we got here.  Right now there is a 15 min trailer and on Friday, October 16, 2020 for 1 week, there will be unlimited access to both the 60 and 90 min version of this important piece of work.

The links can be accessed at our Lexington page — http://thelongshadowfilm.com/lexington/.

There will also be a Cary Library sponsored Zoom Q&A with the film’s director on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM —

Your continued support in this continued racial equity work is very much appreciated.

Thank you.
