Service & Mission

“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)

At Pilgrim Church, we are committed to serving God by serving others and being the hands and feet of Christ in our community. We help alleviate suffering and share the good news of God’s love through both our actions and our financial support. We find ways to make a difference and foster a congregation of compassionate Christians. Our wide variety of mission projects provides volunteer opportunities to live out our faith in the world. We hope you will find the right opportunity for you!

COMMUNITIES WITHOUT BORDERS

Pilgrim is a partner community of Communities Without Borders. The mission of CWB is to educate AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children, primarily in Africa, in order to nourish hope for a better future.

ESPERANZA-HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN

Mission work in Flores, Honduras through Esperanza-Hope for the Children is enthusiastically supported by our church. One of our Member families has been doing medical mission work for years and Pilgrims often accompany them to Honduras and donate items during the year, including clothing and school supplies.

THE LEXINGTON INTERFAITH GARDEN

The Lexington Interfaith Garden provides fresh locally grown produce to the Lexington Food Pantry. Pilgrims volunteer several times a year to help plant, maintain, and harvest the garden alongside volunteers from other Houses of Worship.

ADDITIONAL MISSION SUPPORT

Pilgrim is a 5 for 5 Congregation in the United Church of Christ, financially supporting all the UCC’s special mission offerings.

SAFE CHURCH POLICY

The safety of our children and youth is our highest priority. We have established a set of practices to ensure a safe and welcoming place for children and adults alike. Please read about these practices and contact our Director of Educational Ministries with any questions you have to sarah.fuller@pilgrimcongregational.org.
