Worship Notes
What a tremendous series of lay leaders, musicians and Zoom hosts we have lined up this summer! Watch next week’s E-Notes for the worship leader schedule.
Summer worship begins at 9:30 am every Sunday, in person and on Zoom. Worship will be in-person and simultaneously on Zoom.
Vaccines are highly recommended for everyone with access.
For outdoor summer worship (likely July 4, August 1, September 5), understanding that outdoor transmission is very rare, we will include hymn singing. Everyone wishing to wear a mask will be supported in doing so. (Setup for outdoor worship is complex, thus we are focusing on outdoor worship once per month.)
For indoor summer worship (all other Sundays), we will gather in Pilgrim Hall. Masks will not be mandatory. Realizing many folks still feel safest masking indoors with groups and that we want to create a space where everyone feels safe, we support people wearing masks during the worship service. Worship leaders will unmask while speaking. Masks remain strongly advised indoors for those not vaccinated, per the Commonwealth’s guidance. (https://www.mass.gov/news/baker-polito-administration-to-lift-covid-restrictions-may-29-state-to-meet-vaccination-goal-by-beginning-of-june) We will not be singing hymns while indoors this summer as singing indoors in a group with mixed vaccination status is not yet considered safe. For those curious to know, Pilgrim Hall is equipped with MERV13 filters in the HVAC system and with HEPA filters. When possible we’ll socialize outside after worship.
Summer Office Schedule
The church office will be open through the week of June 25. Beginning on Tuesday, June 29 it will be open on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 1:30. As always, please feel free to call the office or Pastor Reebee directly with a pastoral emergency.
Daily Prayers on July Hiatus
The Daily Prayers will be on hiatus this July. Weekly E-Notes will continue.
Pastor’s Schedule
Pastor Reebee will be on vacation and/or retreat for a substantial part of July. She will likely be at church July 12-15. She’ll be working in August but with a somewhat irregular schedule. The weekly E-Notes will include pastoral contact info for periods when Pastor Reebee will be out of town or unavailable in an emergency.
