Consistently recognized by critics for his “brilliant voice” and “expressively outgoing performances,” American tenor, conductor, and teacher Ethan DePuy (He/Him/His) brings nearly 20 years of professional music making experience to his position of Choir Director at Pilgrim Congregational Church.
As a member of Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society Chorus for over a decade, Ethan has performed at prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and at home at Boston Symphony Hall. No stranger to solo singing, DePuy’s resume includes performances with opera companies, theater companies, festivals, and orchestras across America.
A committed arts educator and choral conductor, Ethan currently serves on the Voice faculty of both Concord Academy and the Holden Voice Program at Harvard University. His pedagogy, which centers on communicative singing rooted in a foundation of naturalistic and tension-free technique, strives to uplift singers of all experience levels through positivity and perseverance.
