All of our ministries are gathered together by the Church Council—the core leadership of the congregation. These fourteen men and women are elected annually by the congregation to act as liaisons to the different program groups, committees, and ministries, making sure there is good communication and common goals. They are the decision-makers, chosen by the congregation, and they support the spiritual interests of our church and its members.
Committees
EDUCATIONAL MINISTRIES
Educational Ministries is responsible for life-long learning, working closely with our Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministries.
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Finance and Administration tends to our properties and is responsible for managing church funds.
MISSION
Mission engages the congregation in mission initiatives, from local food pantries and shelters to medical missions in Honduras and educational work in Zambia. They organize mission trips, oversee donations, and create opportunities for service.
PASTORAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE (PRC)
Pastoral Relations Committee (PRC) serves as an advisory group, sharing ideas, hopes, expectations, and concerns of the congregation with the Pastor. The PRC helps interpret functions, roles, and the needs of the Pastor to the congregation. The PRC is chosen by the Pastor and Moderator with approval by Church Council.
PERSONNEL
Personnel implements and oversees the hiring and evaluation of our church staff.
STEWARDSHIP
Stewardship engages in long-range financial planning and encourages participation in the ministries of the church at every level.
VITALITY
The Vitality Committee strengthens our church community and fosters friendships through social events, such as intergenerational game nights, an all-church Christmas party, barbeques, and progressive dinners.
WORSHIP AND MUSIC
Worship and Music coordinates lay leaders and setup for worship services, including special services such as Longest Night, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday. This Committee works with our Music Director to provide opportunities for people to participate in our music program.
