Life can pull children and families in many different directions; however, no matter where we are on our journey, God is there with us. At Pilgrim, we want our children to know that, “Nothing, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God.” (Romans 8:38-39)
Pilgrim Church is an inclusive community where we welcome families of all varieties and backgrounds. Your child will benefit from an engaging program that is rooted in the stories of scripture and Christian tradition. Pilgrim offers a safe and nurturing environment. Children are encouraged to ask questions and discern their own spiritual journeys.
Church School meets during Sunday morning worship, but we also encourage children to remain in worship if that makes you most comfortable. For infants and children through age three we offer nursery care with a professional childcare provider during September to June. The nursery is available fifteen minutes before the service each week, and silent pagers are given to parents so they may be notified if their child is in need. We also offer a family area in our balcony for parents with children who are not yet ready to leave their parents. This area is sound proof with a speaker system so parents can participate in the worship service.
Pilgrim’s children, youth, and families are invited to participate in many special events throughout the year, including: Fall Church BBQ, Pilgrim’s Pumpkin Patch, Church Christmas Party, Intergenerational Christmas Pageant, Children’s Sunday, and our Ice Cream Social. Children and families are also invited to participate in service projects throughout the year, including: Mitten Tree Sunday and supporting children in Honduras through the Esperanza – Hope for the Children Foundation.
If you are visiting for the first time, please be sure to let a greeter know that you are new and that you’d like to be introduced to our Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministries.
