Dignity Matters

April 1, 2026 – Pilgrim Congregational Church, UCC, invites all to participate in its annual collection of feminine hygiene products and underwear for women in need for Dignity Matters. The drive will run from Friday, May 1, through Friday, May 22. Last year, we collected approximately 10,000 products! Dignity Matters offers free menstrual care, underwear, and bras to women and girls in need in Greater Boston, helping them live with dignity and improve their health and confidence. In 2025, Dignity Matters distributed 3,946,783 items, serving 18,000 women and girls in marginalized communities each month through a diverse network of 180 shelters, public schools, food pantries, and clinics in Greater Boston and neighboring counties. They continue to build more partnerships, which reached an additional 864 women and girls in 2025. What to donate? Sanitary products must be new and individually wrapped. Underwear must be new with tags or packaging intact. They are in great need of underwear in all sizes. Bras can be new or very gently used. Drop donations off at Pilgrim Church, 55 Coolidge Avenue in Lexington, outside in the waterproof receptacle by the front doors, or in the box inside the Church when it is open. Monetary donations are always welcome! Write the check payable to Dignity Matters and place it in the outside bin or through the church mail slot. Let’s share some love and dignity with all women.
