Dear Members and Friends of Pilgrim Church,
The theme of this year’s Stewardship pledge drive is “Beloved, let us love one another… ” It is based on the bible verse from 1 John that tells us to love one another, because to love is to be born of God, the source of love. There is no doubt in this troubled time that we are being tested financially, emotionally and spiritually. In times like these there is a tendency to pull back and close down. But we on the Stewardship Ministry do not believe that is how Pilgrim should proceed if we are to act out of love. As you can see in the narrative budget, we are anticipating to spend more than we are taking in, due to the pandemic and related impacts. So there will be cost cutting and belt tightening, but we will be brave, live boldly and respond to God’s call to love our neighbors. As we think of pledging for the upcoming year, let us keep giving to meet our neighbors’ needs. We will be frugal, but we will also be as generous as our means allow. We are thankful for the gifts of our minister, Reebee, our Christian Education director, Sarah, our Music Director, Dot, our Choir Director, Max, our church administrator, Diane and our church sexton, Romeo.
Let’s support God’s work with love in the life and mission of our Church. Please give generously to support Pilgrim Church in its mission. You may use the Pledge form online, which is completely confidential and only go to our Collector, Susan Carabbio. During online worship, you will also be hearing from three Pilgrims in the coming weeks who will speak about their own experiences in our church and what Pilgrim means to them.
Please contact Susan Carabbio at email@example.com if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support.
